What will humanity become? 1

What will happen in the future which will make it useful to call ourselves something other than 'Human'? I shall attempt to compile a list of tangible and rational things which are very likely to happen in the near future which will facilitate a fundamental change in our nature.

The world is about to begin

After a brief period of preparation, the world is very soon going to begin.

The interesting thing from our perspective is that it seems like we are right in the midst of history, in fact some have even gone as far as to suggest that it might end soon. This is the curious state of transition in which we find ourselves. I shall agree that perhaps we might not make it through. But if we do make it through we will soon look back at all that which came before as pre-history, a curiosity at the most
