Almost Famous
As you may have seen I was part of a competition to try and launch my career as a music journalist. The winner has not yet been announced, so that's not what this post is about. It's about the fact that my love of music and writing has been brought together, once more, and I can truly see it as being a way to pave a name for myself as a writer.
I have recently decided that I want to do something dramatic and confronting with my writing, so I want to go on tour with a band and document what goes on. It could come to be nothing, or it could come to be something which determines my future career as a writer. Who knows? I just know I need to get out there and try something different. I am sick of just talking about the music, I want to live it. Because of my inability to play music, this will be the next best thing, to live vicariously through a bunch of talented people.
I have a band in mind, and have actually asked them if they are interested, now to get an e-mail back. I'll keep you all updated, I'm actually quite excited about the prospects of what this could mean. I'd love to see what anyone has to say about this idea, love it or hate it, I'm open to all comments.
