So this box/sucking theme is recurring?

Boxing Helena
I had the misfortune to watch boxing helena, after much anticipation, and was let down. I know it is completely unfair to expect David Lynch's daughter to be as brilliant as him, but i did not expect her work to be so utterly affected by everything cheap and tacky in the 90's. There are way too many sex scenes and way WAY too many shots of 'helena' bathed in water, candlelight etc. Oh, and the music was terrible. There was no atmosphere, no sense of mood or attachment. I can't think of any redeeming features, i only finished the film through sheer curiosity at how much worse it would get.
The premise of the film is in itself flimsy, and there are inconsistencies with information. Nick had a one night stand with helena, they slept together ONCE, and she was taunting him by saying how many orgasms he never gave her. Really? And the whole thing with his mother, that was needless and i have to admit, a bit fruity.
But then again, even a bad film can be saved by the unexpected twist, right? HAHAHA. I read a review that described the ending as the film falling 'flat on it's face'. That is an absolutely perfect way to put it. It's like the film is a drunk child, stumbling stupidly for no real reason, and then just falling down, ending in a pathetic heap.
Im sorry Jennifer, but this movie was awful.
